Central Indiana Doula
As a birth doula, I strive to educate women and their partners, making it known that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is beautiful. I am here to answer any questions you may have, talk through the birth process, and make a plan to help you achieve the birth you are hoping to experience. Every birth is different; whether you choose to birth unmedicated, medicated, at home, or in the hospital, I am here for you every step of the way.
- More likely to have a spontaneous birth
- Less likely to have an epidural or use any type of pain medication
- Less likely to give birth by cesarean, or need assistance with vacuum extraction or forceps
- Less likely to give birth to a baby with a low Apgar score
- Less likely to be dissatisfied or negatively rate their childbirth Source
“Remember this, for it is as true as true gets: Your body is not a lemon. You are not a machine. The Creator is not a careless mechanic. Human female bodies have the same potential to give birth as well as aardvarks, lions, rhinoceri, elephants, moose, and water buffalo. Even if it has not been your habit throughout your life so far, I recommend that you learn to think positively about your body.”
